We have eventually made it through central France and into the south west. There was a physical change at Bordeaux in weather that caught me off guard. We went from cloudy and a bit rainy to tropical heat.

It was like we passed through and invisible force field that suddenly made the inside of our little Citroen berlingo feel like a left over lunch in a microwave.

Luckily our stop in Biarritz has a pool and we stopped and got unpacked and drove straight into the pool for a cool down. Amazing what little water can do after a six hour drive.
